Scientology and culture

Can anyone offer any practical advice on working with Scientologists?
I've got a new client and I'd like to be respectful. I've googled and there's a lot of information on beliefs but is there anything more practical to observe?
For example, if I worked with Muslims I wouldn't book a lunch with alcohol or at all during Ramadan.

No advice other that to ask your scientology client?

I don't think anybody has even ever asked me if I have a faith when it comes to me being a client. As a Christian disciple of the Lord Jesus, nor has anyone ever asked me how they could be respectful towards me. If they did, I'd thank them very kindly for even thinking about it, but would just advise them to be themselves.

Respectful in what capacity? What industry do you work in? It highly context dependent. If you don’t have to mention it, then don’t.

PS it’s a cult not a religion.

I think they dislike being asked about Xenu (a sort of sci-fi cartoon character dreamt up by L Ron Hubbard) as it embarrasses them a bit.

Don't ask the whereabouts of Michelle Miscavage either!

What is your line of work? If you're a lawyer then it shouldn't change anything. If you're a psychiatrist then best of luck (Scientologists have major beef with them).
