DS2 can see spirits - what do I do?

My DS2 is nearly 5. For the past couple of years he has been able to see his uncle who died 8 weeks before my and I husband married. I know it is him because I have had a medium to the house and she explained who it was. She told me that he was looking out for my DS (who has brain damage) and that it was quite common with children with brain damage to be able to see things.
The other day I was changing his nappy, when he looked over my shoulder and said 'new man'. (he calls his uncle 'man')Initially, i thought he was talking aboiut somebody we had seen at the shops and so I asked him where he was. He told me the 'new man' was standing at the window behind me. I couldn't see anything but he is not the sort of child to make things up, and he definately could see soemthing there. DS2 slept at my mums house yesterday, and she rang me just before tea-time. They had been watching television and DS2 had asked where the 'new man' was. She asked whether he was at her house ar his house and he said that he was in his bedroom on the big wall and wore a blue jacket. This is very specific for my LO as his language is very limited.
What do I do? I am not happy with having another spirit in the house. The house has only had one family in it before us and nobody has died here. It was a farmer's field before then.
Please help!

there is nothing to worry about, children are very perceptive nad can see a lot more than what we can iyswim. you have mentioned a medium coming to your house before, maybe you could ask him/her to call back and ask this spirit to move on?

you may have heard of guardian angels, maybe this 'new man' is a ga?

Would a ga be someone we know? I have a feeling that his uncle may have taken on this role, as he is more active when DS2 is ill! It's like he is watching over him. His uncle will get in bed and give him a kiss as well. Can spirits who are not related to us come along and attach themselves to us? DS2 is not scared at all - he is very matter of fact, as though we all know the spirit.

You can get rid of this yourself. Sometimes they are attracted to positive energy because they think that they can help them move to the next place, wherever that may be. You should clean your house from top to bottom, preferably with a broom. As you go, say that you can't help him and he needs to go somewhere else. I have been told this by a neighbour (clairvoiant), I have no idea if it works though.

I would feel completely stupid doing this!
I would also be worried that I might annoy him and he would become even more prevalent. Think I will get a medium in to do it for me!

I had a visitor in my house, kept flicking the lights and hiding things (was not ds). I was on the phone to my mother and told her. Then I said that the neighbour had told me to tell it that I couldn't help it and it needed to move on. It did. I was shocked. Mediums cost money. Try this first. They like dark and clutter apparantly.

You might consider getting an electrician in before the place burns down. Unless your power company is having problems it sounds like you have bad wiring and that can be dangerous.

The lights don't flicker once I told it to go away. Weird!

I have told other spirits to go away, but when they have been targeting me! I am not keen on telling one that is following my son around to get lost! Am frightened of offending it.
Greyriverside - you do not know what having a sprirt in the house is like until you have experienced it. The only reason I am worried about this one is that my son can see it and I don't know who it is.

nat, you live quite near me. i had similar problem and got a medium in from local spiritualist church, he charged £10 to cover his petrol and did help, although the spirit boy has popped back up from time to time, but he has gone now.
