But what is the rule of thumb with goblins etc, dont worry i havent lost the plot (not yet anyway) its just a friend swears black is white that she had one sitting on her bed last night looking at her now in all fairness shes not one to chat crap normally, but even though i am a complete believer in the supernatural, im not to sure about goblins, any thoughts?

I've had hallucinations at night time. I clearly saw a jelly fish hanging over my head - maybe this is what your friend is experiencing?

southeastastra - I've had that several times! I never know it had a name but it is very scarey. Being awake but not being able to move.

Hmmm it is possible, thats the first thing i said to her but she says that when it went, it walked through the wall which is her dc's room and the dc's started stirring so she got up and went to see to them so she is insisting she must of been awake, but i tend to agree with you lot.

has she experinced any other strange things in her house?

The thing about hallucinations is that you really believe that it is happening. It's only common sense that tells me I did not have a jelly fish dangling above my head! My brain quite clearly saw it.

lol at jellyfish! (sorry) it is quite common though, neice has them too occasionally.

Gald to hear it's not just me! It usually happens if I have an afternoon nap, and feels like I'm paralysed for ages.

Belgo, no, not really anything happening out of the ordinary in her house but the last one was dreadful, had to have a priest out in the end, i reckon you are right, she was just hallucinating, im quite relieved actually, i couldnt of made myself come to believe in goblins

Oh and SE that link for the pic you posted, thats exactly how she described him, all hunched up. Isnt it strange though, coz according to that pic its a common thing people see, i wonder why that is?

i know it is weird, people see all sorts aliens, ghosts, jellyfish i suppose it's just what you're scared of, your subconscious.

I've also had a spider dangle over me. I'm still convinced I really did have a spider hanging over me, but dh assures me I didn't. He doesn't like being woken up to shouts of 'jellyfish' or 'spider'

there's tons about it on the net. seeing 'old hags' seems common too. (thinks of mil )
