Muslim wedding - some help and advice please

Hi there. A colleague at work who I think is lovely is getting married next week. It is a traditional Muslim Wedding (all festivities about a week long, parties for girl and boy seperately . . etc?) He has invited me to the mixed after wedding celebration (sorry if that's badly worded) I don't think I can make it due to child care and he understands that and is fine with it. I would like to get him a card or something though? Is this traditional? Are there specific cards? Would a Western Style Card be innappropriate (although I would like to send something for his religion to show my respect)
Clearly I have no idea what I'm going on about here so please someone help me!!
THANKS

Of course a Western style card would be fine!
Most weddings (apart from the actual ceremony) have nothing to do with religion and are more about celebration.
I'm sure anything you wanted to give would be appreciated.
(You sound like a lovely and thoughtful person btw)
