I'm feeling a distinct lack of spirituality lately. Mostly feeling exhausted and frustrated, and on auto pilot.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good books / sites about Buddhism, relaxation, meditation?

erm... i've explored Buddhism a little although i can't think of any specific books. i also find yoga really helpful for relaxation.

but the book which has helped me make the most real changes in my life and really helped with practically everything is none other than The New Testament. I'm about as hardened as cynics come, or at least i was before i started to read it for myself about 6 months ago. Specifically the 4 gospels, are what i find the most helpful, and even more specifically, the actual words that Jesus is quoted as saying.

i'm not a christian yet, btw, in case i'm coming across a bit zealous. but it's just the fact that this is the one text that after reading i've felt a subtle change in the core of my being, and believe me i've read an awful lot of stuff on how we should live/ what we are/ the meaning of life as i'm a philosophy grad. hope that helps.

Try googling SGI, I'm a member of this buddhist organisation and we are great.

Lots of books out there but a good starter is The Basics of Buddhism by Pat Albright.

Or have a look at the study program on the SGI UK site - this gives a good basic founding of the principals.
