I am trying to find a bible reading which talks about reuniting with loved ones in heaven - can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, just from memory Thessalonians 4:13-18 might be a nice one?

For my brother's funeral I chose the one from Revelations, 'and God will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more' etc etc (sorry can't quote ch and verse. A very hopeful quote.

Revelation 21 1-4 is the one about no more death and mourning and all things made new.

Not the Bible, but we read this at my dad's funeral and it is beautiful:

Bring us, O Lord God, at our last awakening
into the house and gate of heaven,
to enter into that gate and dwell in that house,
where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light;
no noise nor silence, but one equal music;
no fears nor hopes, but one equal possession;
no ends nor beginnings, but one equal eternity:
in the habitations of thy majesty and glory,
world without end.
Amen.
(John Donne)

1 Corrinthians ch 13

Less traditional for a funeral I think, but there is also Hebrews (around chapters 11/12) with the emphasis on forerunners in faith and the cloud of witnesses in heaven.

And 1 Corinthians 13 - For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.

Thank you everyone - we’ve decided on the Donne. My dad was a great poetry reader, so it’s appropriate on two counts.
