Hinduism - fabulous weddings, and saris make for a v flattering wedding outfit.

Islam - head scarf must be handy for disguising bad hair days

Judaism - the Kippah would neatly camouflage DH's bald spot.

Christianity - get to have a swig of wine of a Sunday morning

Posters will be disqualified for reasons that are not deeply shallow and/or glib.

buddism -rewarded for good behaviour
jewish - fab music at wedding

nkf · 03/03/2008 20:27

Does Steiner count? So I can start up long threads on MN.

controlfreakyagain · 03/03/2008 20:28

catholic for the incense and the stupid outfits.....

southeastastra · 03/03/2008 20:29

scientology for a laugh

WanderingTrolley · 03/03/2008 20:29

Joining the Jehovah's Witnesses would make December a whole lot easier on my bank account.

WanderingTrolley · 03/03/2008 20:30

lol at scientology for a laugh

somehow, it doesn't strike me as the most humourous of religions....

nickytwotimes · 03/03/2008 20:32

Catholicism - lots of cool art/statues, etc.
Judaism - all the bagels you can eat.
Amish - nice hats and proximity to horses.
Calvanism - um, eh, nope, can't think of anything.

AdamAnt · 03/03/2008 20:33

Church of JC of Latter Day Saints - polygamy = lots of stand by babysitters

I'd be a Jedi, cool weapons although I don't fancy the naff blanket looking cape thing! I do like the thought of my own robot to do the housework too

AdamAnt · 03/03/2008 20:52

Islam - trip to Mecca would be great.

Judaism - the sabbath (sure it's actually loads of work in real life, but since I'm meant to be shallow, I am going to assume it just a nice rest).

Amish - no need to work out how to programme the video.

Scientology - might get to meet Tom Cruise and/or John Travolta.

Church of England - free babysitter (I mean sunday school) every Sunday morning and no-one will notice if you have a nice nap at the back.

Ribena "Amish - no need to work out how to programme the video." ROFL

Christianity - I want a huge xmas tree and decorations all over the house. Being Jewish I don't get to do that.

Scientology - I too want to see if I can stretch my mouth into that insane permanent smile look.

I also want to be a born again Christian because the group that met at the dcs swimming lessons had a table filled with donuts and they looked delicious!

AdamAnt · 03/03/2008 21:04

Ah but Weebles, if you're Jewish do you get first dibs on Jewish chaps? I have yet to meet a wrong un

OP posts:
weebleswobble · 03/03/2008 21:06

Not met my ex then? That's about as wrong as they come!

AdamAnt · 03/03/2008 21:12

Oh [crestfallen] But you still had first dibs though

suedonim · 03/03/2008 21:32

I have one Jewish DIL, who's training to be a rabbi, and one Muslim DIL and they both love to come to our home at Christmas to celebrate. 'Mix 'n' match', I say.

SueBaroo · 04/03/2008 09:28

lolling @ Calvinism having nothing frivolous to offer. I have been racking my brains on that one, but I think you might be right.

MaryBS · 04/03/2008 13:35

I've got one on Calvinism (if a little obscure). He took some really heavy doctrinal stuff and named it after a pretty flower (TULIP)!!!

As a student I quite liked all the dancing and singing the Hari Krishnas did in the streets ...

SueBaroo · 04/03/2008 13:36

MaryBS · 04/03/2008 18:49

sikh - they are always happy (seriously, I've never met a miserable one!)

JH - plenty of wives to help do the housework!

jewish - have the best comedians, loads of them

christianity - those strange oranges with candles and sweets stuck in them (christingle?)!! where you set light to the person's hair in front!

SueBaroo · 04/03/2008 19:01

Baptist - you get a bath at least once in your life.

Presbyterian - you only have to do it when you're a baby, and then it's only a cat's lick, instead of a big dip.
