Spiritual experiences

I had what i think was my 2nd out of body experience a few days ago.
It started very much the same ,i was lying very relaxed and resting but not asleep.I remember thinking "oh i know what this is this time" and sort of pushed my way out.
But then i turned and very weirdly felt quite threatened by something and threatened 'it' back by raising my'arms' and screaming.
Then it ended.

Yes i have namechanged for this as some of you will instinctively think i am truly nuts.

It happened in my bedroom this time and for some reason there is a corner of the room that i have always felt wary of(like i am being watched) and have no idea why.

I am fascinated by things spiritual but also scared.
Why is this happening to me?
What can i do about the corner in my room?
How do i learn about this sort of thing and not feel scared?

No idea what to do about the corner. Do you do anything to protect yourself??

Blackmoon · 26/02/2008 23:26

No i wouldnt know how to protect myself tbh

I think it involves imagining yourself bathed in a protective white light. However, if you are prone to popping out of your body, then maybe go to the spiritualist church and get advice??

Did you feel unsafe when you were out?

I'll never forget a dream I had where I was flying, and I kept going through trapdoors, and a black shadow kept chasing me. I felt exhilarated that I was flying, and knew I would "win", but, it was still unsettling.

Blackmoon · 27/02/2008 11:36

I only felt threatened this time it happened but not the first time.

Dont really fancy going along to a church.

I wonder if there is a source of information on line somewhere but im not sure where to start looking.

We have a resident spirit. It's the man who lived here all his life before he died and the cottage was sold to us. My MIL is a platform medium (and I'm a fledgling medium) had seen him wandering around the house.

I kept waking in the night thinking someone was in the room, would come to and realise I'd been looking at my dressing gown or a dress hanging up. However, I then went on a psychic development course and realised that I probably was seeing someone. So the next time it happened I told him that I would love to chat, but not now and he was disturbing my sleep, so please could he not do it any more. It's never happened since.

Try just asking "it" to leave you alone as it's scaring you. You could also try to cleanse your room. I had to do this with dd's room when she kept waking with pains behind her knees. I sat in the middle of the room and imagined white light filling every part of the room, and the negativity being pushed out. That too seemed to work and she's stopped waking and has never mentioned pain behind her knees again.

The other thing you could do, if you're interested is get a reading done. Best to have someone recommended. If there is someone trying to give you some guidance they may be able to tell you what it is. Alternatively, you could just sit in the room quietly and see what thoughts drop into your mind and write them down. Maybe it's something you could tune into yourself!

If you want to CAT me please do.

Are you fighting against anything at the moment?

Blackmoon · 27/02/2008 11:58

Thanks for replying i shall try what you have suggested surfermum.

The only thing i have going on at the moment is work problems.

Would it make any sense if I said "go with the flow and don't fight changes"?

Blackmoon · 27/02/2008 12:14

I am trying to go with the flow but obviously concerned for the future, money etc,i have no option (redundant next month)

I wonder why this is happening though and what i am supposed to do?
The 1st time it happened i was very low.

Sorry to hear that , my last partner was made redundant 3 times and it's a horrible scary time.

Maybe they're trying to say don't worry (ha-ha) something better for you is around the corner, but it can't happen until you are made redundant.

Do you have any plans for what you'll do? Or anything you've always fancied doing. Whether this is guidance or not, I know when my partner was made redundant I said to him "if you've ever wanted to do something else, retrain or whatever, now is the time". He ended up back at college part time doing a legal exec's course.

Surfermum · 27/02/2008 12:21

And maybe the "something" you're being "threatened/scared" by is the looming redundancy and all the worry that goes with that

Blackmoon · 27/02/2008 12:28

I am very limited with regard to what hours i can do due to no childcare.I have been in the same line of work since i left school and my wages buy the food and anything else we need as dp pays mortgage and bills.
I couldn't afford to go to college .

I dont see what purpose my coming out of my body again serves though.

The corner of the room has bothered me since we moved in 8 years ago.Sometimes i dont feel anything and then other times i just feel watched(i always look over before i turn the light off at night)
I am interested in all things spiritual despite being terrified by it.I am a very sensitive person and have lost many closr relatives.I have the ability to sense atmospheres in people and places.Like i can know if an atmosphere is tense consistently and if people are troubled etc.
I have seen a spirit years ago at my old workplace.
I often think i see someone go into a room and noone is there.

I used to use tarot cards, and would do the white light thingy to protect myself. I started getting woken up in the night by "something", and I felt that it wanted me to use the cards. I didn't, and chucked them out, but now I am a bit more scared.

BTW surfergirl, would a medium be able to tell me where a lost item is? or a psychic? Not sure the difference between the 2
