Is it customary to greet with Ramadan Mubarak throughout Ramadan? Is it OK to say it instead of "good morning" to the Muslim mums at school? Or will they think I'm mental?ConfusedBlush

Hey, yes we usually greet each other with Ramadan mubarak if it is the first time we are seeing each other. No one should think you are mental but will be very happy to receive the greeting!

It's like Merry Christmas you say it the first time you see them regardless of when in the month and then you stop and greet as normal ie good morning.

OP

I have had the happy experience of living and working with people of different faiths and cultures and one thing that is IMHO universal, people like it when someone takes an interest in their faith /culture.

They are happy to explain and it enriches your own life.

Sorry to sound like a hippy
