Just wondering..if you are happy to share of course...what has been the biggest life mistake you have made and did you resolve it/how did it end!?

Marrying my ex was an utter disaster and the worst decision of my life. I had known him for 10 years before we married. In my heart, I knew it wasn’t the right thing but thought I’d invested too much into him and was scared I wouldn’t meet anyone else. We had a child that died, and that catalysed the end of the marriage. Lesson is to listen to your gut and heart. My life would have been very different.

Not leaving my previous job when problems first started. I was pregnant so didn't want to take any financial risks. I did leave 5 years ago and it's turned out to be the best thing I did.

Not taking a huge, unexpected promotion when pregnant. Felt I couldn't do it, for reasons now beyond me... would have meant completely different career trajectory

Two things

Staying with my ex as long as I did - I eventually found the strength to leave both him and our local area.

Not career planning early enough - I'm ok but would feel so much better about my career if I'd applied for grad schemes earlier and probably gone down the CA rather than generalist route.
