Training for ministry

A couple of people asked for updates and I don't want to hijack the thread I originally mentioned this on do I've started a new thread.

I found out earlier today that I have been recommended to train for ordained ministry. I'm pretty excited if a little daunted by the prospect and I can't really talk about it in real life yet until a few more people have been told, so I'm sharing here for now.

Brilliant news. It is the longest week ever after the selection conference. Do you know where you will train?

Congratulations x

Oh my gosh how exciting! Congratulations!

Like @mostlydrinkstea I am curious to know, if you know, where you will be training, if you don’t mind saying.

It has been the longest 10 days, even more so as the email I was expecting never arrived. I had to chase up to get my result!

I'm unsure where I'll train yet, I'm still looking around but Cuddesdon looks like it will be a good fit for us as a family.

Thank you. Cuddesdon seems to be a good fit for our family. There's going to be a lot if changes for our girls and I wanted somewhere they felt happy too. I just need to sort schools for them!
How's your discernment going?

My discernment is going ok. I'm back with my VA (who is also the DDO) on Wednesday. Been to a couple of vocations support group meetings (would be happier with them if the reader/church warden from church wasn't one of the group leaders). Read on priesthood about million times but not much of it seems to be sinking in. But honestly I feel more relaxed now God's nagging at me to start exploring has eased because I have taken steps to discern what he wants from me.

Don't know if it's useful but my friends children got the bus from Cuddesdon to Garsington CE primary and they enjoyed their time there.

My diocese likes to keep people in the diocese as much as possible so if I get to the same point as you my theological college has already been decided unless I have very strong and good reasons for going elsewhere. Although from talking to vicars and curates over the past couple of years if I was on my own (meaning no DH and DS) and had a bigger say in it I would be tempted to go from Cranmer in Durham (I'm further south but still north of England)
