Do Jews believe humans are made in God's image?

I ask as I am currently listening to a podcast on Judaism and it seems to strictly state people are not like God, and we cannot begin to understand him on any literal level as we are infinite beings and can't comprehend all of God

Yet Genesis says we are made in God's image?

Please would someone clarify for me? Thanks so much Smile

Hi, I'm not Jewish, but the quote is from Genesis... so I assume it is also a Jewish belief;
Genesis 1:26- Then God said "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth"

Not Jewish but you might find this of interest
Divine spark in creation

if you’re interested you might like to also look up the word Elohim which is the name of God used in the creation stories with alone of with Adonai (Lord). Grammatically the word is a female noun with a make plural ending. There’s quite a lot of interesting discussion round this.
