question about nine lessons and carols

I am not a church goer at all but I love singing carols at Christmas and would love to attend a service in our local cathedral. I have seen that they have this special service. Is this where the choir sings and not the congregation? I don't want to turn up just to listen. I want to sing!

The nine lessons and carols service usually includes both choir and congregational carols, so you should be fine.

Thank you.

Ours definitely included plenty of popular ones for the congregation to sing, as well as a few Choir only ones. Enjoy

At a cathedral it will probably be very popular so turn up in plenty of time. Have a lovely festive sing!
