Help with a reading

I am going to be reading at a funeral next week.

The reading is from 2 Corinthians.

How do I actually say that?

Is it:

'A reading from the second book of Corinthians'?

Or something else?

Argh I'm stressing!

I think it's the second letter to the Corinthians (written by St Paul). So you could say "a reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians"

Or "a reading from Paul's second letter to the Corinthians"

@Prestissimo thank you! That makes perfect sense now you've said it.

No problem at all. All those Sundays in church as a child have finally paid off 🙌🏻😂

Good luck with it - remember the audience/congregation will be on your side.

Yes i agree. They will be sitting quietly but certainly will be on your side.

So you could say "a reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians. @Prestissimo is what I hear at my congregation.
Good luck x
