we are visiting London(Bermondsey) for a wedding over Easter and want to go to church on Easter Sunday. we will have four children aged 1,2,5,5 with us and are of a broadly evangelical nature (!!) we want to go somewhere lively and family friendly, not bothered whether kids are in church or creche/sunday club as they are used to both but church would need to be happy to have four new small ones visiting. Any ideas or recommendations?

Hillsong London - absolutely AWESOME church but may be a bit lively if you aren't used to it. (it is near Tottenham Court Rd underground)

The Most Holy Trinity Dockhead is in Bermondsey (northern tip of) and is a low Catholic church - pretty close to evangelical, I think. It's quite child-friendly and bound to be very festive and child-compatible that morning

thanks all, keep posting. hillsong looks great and the grown ups would love it, not sure if its too different from what the kids are used to for them to appreciate it. Catholic one sounds interesting too, I work at and one of my kids go to a Catholic school though we are all hard- core- born- and- bred-evangelical- methodist- types.

Further out of town but pretty accessible from Bemrondsey is Christ Church, Lubbock Road, Chislehurst. We don't go there, we've stuck with our parish church, but a family from school does and it sounds fantastic for children and probably right up your street liturgically. Live band music etc. C of E but very evangelical.
