Wiccan/witchcraft?

Hi, new user here. I have always felt the craft was calling me, but for several reasons I have not been able to pursue this. Now I am finally in a position that I can start to live my life how I want, and I have no idea how to start. I have used the tarot on the quiet, but got a bit scared when it started to make sense. Can anyone offer me any advice or point me in the right direction of resources that would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Thank you for this, I had seen this thread but was reluctant to join in as it all seemed to be people who were well established in their journey.

Not at all- we are a mixed bunch, and new faces join every week.
Some of us are new, or old timers, some are new to a magical journey, others for a while.
Not all witches or Wiccans either, some are just putting a toe in the water at the start of amagical awakening.
You will be welcome, no one is "in charge" or "bosswitch", no heirarchy.
All voices are valued.

Hi OP, how are you getting on with it? I'm always up for chatting about anything witchy.

An old but very good book is Natural Magic by famous witch Doreen Valiente . It gives a really nice introduction to herbs, flowers, amulets, traditional spells, card reading ...I highly recommend it.

I love the book The Wicca Bible by Ann-Marie Gallagher. I've actually just bought a second hand copy for myself to reread because my copy from years ago is long gone. It's obviously Wicca oriented, as opposed to witchcraft more broadly, and covers all the basics. It's a nice read. I also recommend Scott Cunningham's Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.
