Near Death Experiences

NC as this could be outing! I'm very interested in hearing from anyone who has had a NDE. A close family member was in a coma for several months after a nasty accident. He told us about how, at one point, he found himself in a large white waiting room. There he saw a relative who had died years earlier, surrounded by bright light. The relative told him to 'go back' as it wasn't his time yet.

@StopStartStop Thank you for that, I've got a lovely mental image of skipping over a cloudy floor. 😊
The light I saw in another vivid dream was golden too, but within it were all the colours of the rainbow.

I've had one. Im a very spiritual person and it changed my life. I had an allergic reaction to an epidural and was unconscious for about 20 seconds but felt like ages.
I saw myself curled up on the bed. I saw a beautiful white light and sensed someone at my side and an overwhelming feeling of peace and love. I didnt want to leave it but knew I had to. That feeling was taking my worries away. All of a sudden there was a rushing noise and I was awake and I got very distressed due to what I saw and got my partner to pinch me as I thought I was dead. My partner said my BP was dangerously low and I went all still
It took me weeks to get over it and I still get emotional talking about it xx

I bet you do! That is awful, hope you’re okay now x.

similar to mine, but I knew it was my nan, she was sat on the bed with me, no light though.

the thing that stuck with me was the feeling of love and safety and I was being looked after and comforted. I wasn’t even close to my nan

Anthony Peake on Audible. Wonderful stuff if you want to delve into this. I love it all. I make no assertions, it could all be absolute twaddle and 90% of people on here think it is, but I prefer it to general fiction because it could be true.

I just want to add it wasn't awful it was a lovely feeling and experience, but at the time I was frightened and I cant explain it but it just really shook me up for ages because I know what I saw and what happened, my partner at the time was very sceptical about it all which upset me because of how I felt. Ive read so many experiences many of them talk about that feeling of intense love and peace xx

Randy Kay Ministries have a YouTube channel with a lot of different NDEs from people who have since become Christians. Word of warning though - don't watch some of them before bedtime!

My Grandad's heart stopped whilst on an operating table and he was 'dead' for a couple of minutes. He said he had a dream where he was standing between two rivers, one flowing in one direction and one in the other. He then had to decide which one to step into and his last memory of the dream was of jumping into one of the rivers (presumably the 'life' one).

He's properly dead now and I've always wondered if he had the same thing again and actively chose the other river!

I was seven when I had two lower teeth out under gas and the dentists. Whilst under, I found myself in a long, dark tunnel with lots of Disney characters. I didn't like it and felt frightened. When I woke up, the dentist was removing an airway from my throat and was fussing around me. I now realise I must have been under too deep and my airway collapsed. They stopped doing gas at dental surgeries because it was deemed to be too dangerous.

betterbecareful that's interesting. When my father was dying, he would describe to me what he could see on the ceiling. Which was crowds of people crossing a river, but their feet didn't get wet. They were in army uniform and their faces were all the same.

Not near death experience but after having DD1, c section, excessive blood loss and totally exhausted I was in the ward and recall seeing myself from the other end of the room! From high up as if looking down. All very very odd. Had a blood transfusion later that day. Have never forgotten that experience though and would love to know what it was all about!

A friend of mine experienced this in exactly the same situation.

I have heard NDEs being discussed twice in the radio last week. Peoples personal experiences. I find it fascinating.
