Would it be really bizarre to have two men and one woman as dd's godparents?

As usually you'd expect one woman and one man or two women and one man given that she's a girl! What do you think?

It wouldn't matter at all - the church I think suggest the regular numbers for a boy and girl but it's up to you in the end.

We've got a man and 2 women for DD but 2 of each for DS.

It really depends who you want to choose for the right reasons, not whether they're male or female.

Thanks lucimule. I'm wondering if the chaps being asked to be godparents might find it a bit odd.

I guess your DD might feel more at ease chatting to godmothers if she needs to go to them later in life with a question.

It wouldn't matter at all - most people don't know about the conventions

as long as they aren't a couple and holding hands or anything, then it will be fine

I have two godfathers and a godmother.
My brother has two godmothers and a godfather.

To be honest, I'd always assumed that was traditional (never really thought about it).

Glad to hear it - now I just have to have the negotiation with dh.

Not bizarre, our DS and DD both have two male and one female God parents. nobody has ever questioned it or thought it was strange.
