Christian resources for Children

Hello!

I'm looking for some nice resources to teach my children about the bible - preferably something with some sort of order/curriculum. We already have children's bibles and some bible story videos and Christian TV shows for kids, (but always looking for more recommendations on these if you have found any great ones!).

Specifically I was hoping for things like a loose sort of curriculum/good order to teach young children and some nice materials like printables that they can colour, craft ideas, etc.

(We are working abroad at the moment so Sunday School isn't an option as not fluent enough in the local language.)

If you have any suggestions I'd be so grateful!

Guardians of Ancora is a great app to teach kids the gospel stories through, its got lots of resources on their website too. Its a scripture union initiative. My kids like Veggie Tales, the older ones are more bible based than newer ones. Pinterest also has great resources if you search on there.

Veggie tales on netflix has a christian message and quotes some bible verses.
treasure champs on cbeebies.

if you google christian lessons for children free then loads of results come up. You could maybe take a look and see if there are any that match what
you are thinking.

i used to go to a christian kids camp and the stories/lessons I remember most are the ones we acted out also the songs still stay with me now.

I haven't checked it out myself but I do use the Lectio 365 app occasionally and find it really calming, thought-provoking and generally helpful for prayer. It's recently started advertising the Lectio Families app which may be of interest to you. It's by 24-7 Prayer.

Not exactly what you’re asking for, but we love the Jesus Calling book (kids’ version) by Sarah Young. Great to read together at bedtime.

Also check out The Story by Max Lucado. The adult version is brilliant but there are illustrated versions for children (various levels of depth for different ages) so you may find working through the Bible as one continuous story a good way to work through it as a family.

The Good Book company has lots of good resources. Maybe a family devotion might be suitable?

Depending on their age, have you seen the Bible App for Kids? It's very good and is a sort of interactive game. They listen to different audio sections of the Bible, answer some quiz questions in order to unlock the next level. It's really good!

The Diary of a Disciple by Scripture Union is a well-written and engaging retelling of Luke's Gospel. There's a recent release of a second one focussing on Peter and Paul as well so could be a good way to go through the New Testament as a family.

The book 30 Prophecies: 1 Story is very interesting too. Focuses on 30 prophecies from Genesis to Revelation and breaks them down into how they fit together in the Biblical narrative, why it's important, how we see it fulfilled etc. It's designed for family use so it sounds heavy but is actually very accessible.
