Thank you so much to everyone who commented on my last thread - I got some amazing recommendations for books and resources which I am working my way through and loving.

I ended up Googling "Online RCIA" to see if I could find any churches offering it. I ended up finding a church in the USA who I emailed and last night had my first Zoom 😊 I'm so excited to have got started - I feel like it's the first step in a journey I've been waitkng my whole life to take without even really knowing it! Wouldn't have even known about the RCIA if it weren't for Mumsnet so just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their advice.

Really good to hear! Hope your journey is going well :)

Will your local priest still do your reception if you've done it online. I found the RCIA a really good way of getting involved in the parish. Which you can't do if it's online.

That's fantastic! Do you have any support locally?

Hi @livinchina How're you doing? Just found your thread as I'm undergoing instruction and have been for a while.

I was just wondering, as a PP asked- if you're doing Zoom instruction that isn't local, how does it work with your baptism, are local churches ok with it as a prerequisite to baptism?

How're you getting on with the instruction, and Catholicism in general?

I find some of the changes asked for to one's way of life difficult, but I think most people would.

My main issues are some issues with chastity and gluttony.
