Could anyone shed any light on this dream?

Last night I had an odd dream about very old friend. She’s no longer in my life due to a falling out around 3 years ago, we were inseparable and so close, such a bond which we never thought would be broken.

In my dream we were at an event, we were drinking and we’re sat on the same table but didn’t acknowledge each other.

We bumped into each other in the ladies and had a few words, I think they were cross words but I couldn’t make out what we were saying to one another.

She told me to come with her as she wanted to show me something. In the toilets there was this skylight window, we laid down - she in my arms - and there were thousands of the brightest stars I had ever seen in the night sky.

She started sobbing uncontrollably and I just held her.

I feel odd and quite sad. I haven’t thought about her for years.

Maybe in your subconscious mind you miss her and would like to make up.

FrydayFish that's my take on it too, NoWigNoWit.

@NoWigNoWit the dream might be showing you how upset you actually feel deep down about the loss of your friendship. Although there was something you came into conflict over 3 years ago, the result has been to obscure in your mind all the wonderful things that made up your friendship for years. You might consider contacting her and being open about the sadness the dream brought up for you. Sharing that with her might open up some healing of the friendship. But the definite first step is to acknowledge for yourself the hurt you feel over losing the friendship, particularly if you've tended to shrug it off.
