I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem at all - most churches are very welcoming (I only speak for / know about C of E). Just give your local vicar / church office a call.

It would be C of E, I'll pop round to the village church now - just wanted to make sure no-one said I couldn't! Thanks Bram.

The vicar may want to know why you want the baby Christened, but I think that's reasonable, so don't let it put you off!
