Any tarot readers fancy a MN chat?

Just wondering who else uses tarot? Psychological prompting/archetypes/meditation more than divination for me.

Ive had some interesting 3 card spreads (do use more complex ones as and when)... that would be fab to have some other users thoughts on!

Thought it would be nice to have a little forum for clarity if people fancied it, but.... tumbleweed! 😂

Three card quickie (I do do other spreads 😬) to clarify my work situation over the next month or so. I'm looking for work at the moment. Not desperately but need something by April latest. I've just taken the plunge into consultancy/freelance and left my previous long term role. Sort of asked in order...

feelings behind, where am I now, what will I need to be aware of...

Strength. Wheel of F. 5 of cups.

I'm usually clear but baffled by the juxtaposition of the wheel (now) and the 5. Trying to see the positive....

Any thoughts! 🔮

OP my not-very-good-at-this interpretation of your little spread was that you had a powerful urge to make a change workwise, which you had done at time of posting. Likely that wasn't a decision you came to without a struggle. Then at time of posting you had taken a big risk and put yourself in the hands of fate. Understandably you were wondering/concerned about how your decision would affect things and probably worried that you might end up regretting it. So the message of the spread was don't let such worries overtake you, because in the past you might have had a tendency to let anxiety or regret blind you to opportunities. The sort of change you made is somewhat dependent on time to develop positively, no matter how much work you put in, and it'll be important to remember that if things feel scary and you're tempted to give in to regret/negativity. Keep going and things will turn in your favour, as long as you're mindful of a past tendency to give up when all seems lost.

But I could be completely wrong about that! Anyway, I like your thread idea. I could do with some tarot chat myself, I kind of gave up on my interest and it'd be good to rekindle it with kindred spirits!

I think that's excellent and very true. Great stuff. I was intrigued by the 5 of cups but I think it is about me not getting into a negative mindset.

I had one interview and it went terribly. Wondered if I had made the right decision after all and felt really despondent. Am waiting for outcome of another interview now. I suspect I haven't got this job either but I did much better and am looking at it as a bit of a learning curve now. Trying hard to stay positive.

Did a reading today about the next couple of weeks job hunting wise.

Situation - q of cups
Blocking or enabling - 2 of cups
Unconscious forces - 3 of wands
Conscious forces - 2 of wands
Recent past - 7 of pentacles
Near future - 8 of pentacles

All very neat! And they were shuffled and picked individually so the 2/3 or wands and 7/8 pentacles is weird.

Any spreads you want input into? Smile

Hi OP

I always used to draw Strength re work and could never really figure it out, apart from the obvious strength meaning.

Then i read an article somewhere that made total sense.

Strength (if you look at the typical card picture of the woman holding the lions mouth). This card can often be about holding things in, wanting to break out but being restrained, wanting to break free but not able to.

For me this was wanting to break out of my role, but i was too frightened, what if the grass wasn't greener?

I would gain the strength to stay in the role that i was in, i could see the benefits of a good salary and a good pension. I would be happy for a while then the doubt would set in again. I would draw the cards and yet again Strength would appear.

We can hold things in in for a while, but eventually we have to "roar" and have the strength to let things go.

OP, overall you're doing a lot of reflecting while also trying to get in the flow. However, there might be a tendency to get a bit stuck in a bubble of fantasy, which you need to watch out for. Saying that, you have your charms as far as employers are concerned, and they can do a lot for you. This watery Q of C energy might be enhanced by the partnership/harmonious aspect to the 2 of C, but that same card could bring a bit too much emotion into a situation that needs a more rational approach, so watch out for that too.

Your unconscious 3 of W is the team player in you, versus the conscious 2 of W where you want to strike out on your own by leaving the shelter of being more dependent on the 'safety' of an organisation. This might be causing some conflict that interferes with what you say/think your objectives are, so you need to be on top of that, a bit clearer and more decided in yourself, so as not to muddy the Cups water outlined above.

Your 7 of P was you deciding to risk what you'd already built up career-wise, to some extent, by chancing your arm for the promise of something better (if the risk pays off). The 8 of P indicates that, whatever happens, you're going to need to learn some new tricks (probably training/skills oriented) at a time in your life/career when others might assume you're well-established enough not to need to. But it makes sense to you as a kind of long game.

Hope some of that is helpful, it's what I make of your 6 card spread. Really glad my other post made some sense! I wouldn't know where to start to ask for a reading for myself just now, got health stuff going on that needs sorting first, but as soon as I get more on the right side of that I'll ask for some help Grin

@Seagullslanding that's a really beautiful take on the Strength card, makes so much sense Smile Thank you for sharing that and it sounds like you learned the meaning of that card the hard way. But you did learn it Star

I'm just starting to learn to read.
