A great success....
absolutey loved it!.... this sounds silly but my old church was (probably always will be) my favourite... gorgouse church building (17C), and my Great, great great great grandparents through to my grandfather always had it as their local church my parents were married there, i was baptised there etc ... but i have moved away from that area.
This church (I arguably have 2 local C of E churches) has all the same tunes to the bits that you sing and thats partly why i really liked it .... also the people there were lovely and i felt immediatly welcome...
(In my time i have been to loads of other churches and never found another that uses the same tunes!)
tried out my other local C of E church last week, (whilst it really was a LOVELY church (13C) and would have been coincidently a different great grandfathers local church at one time) i felt it really was too 'high' for me... my orginal church was quite high, but this one was very very high! (howver if i ever need a service that finishes by 10.30, rather than 11ish ill be back there and i plan to go there Christmas carols by candle light as im sure in such a beutiful church that will be very special)
Everyone there was nice too (even though most were OAPs )
