Passover Seder

Tomorrow night we begin the Festival of Freedom.

Anyone else going to try holding a Zoom Seder with extended family and friends?

When I was a child we always had an extra glass next to Elijah's cup, for the Refusniks and Prisoners of Conscience in the USSR. This year I'm considering putting the extra glass out again, for all those who do not have the freedom to self-isolate because they are looking after others, for all those isolated and unable even to join in a virtual Seder.

I'm not jewish but you might like to remember those having to be in lockdown with an abuser, and those who are in safety but in refuge, apart from their familiar lives and loved ones

We will be trying a virtual seder.... although we tend to have a flexible approach to dates/leaning towards secular passover, and so it will be at the weekend.

I like the idea of a second cup - especially for key workers.

The extra glass is a great idea. I think we'll do that too.

Good point, StillWeRise. They are included in 'all those isolated and unable even to join in a virtual Seder', but I will make sure to spell out that there are people locked down with abusers, or who have fled their abusers but are not yet truly free.
