I know this is going backwards , but b4 I retire to bed and gather more energy to flow my energy around the other insights tommorow. I thought I would round our chats off with a space fo the 7th chats. AS the virgoan in me needs to have them all here to be complete!!!

Haven't had chance to reread 7th yet but am popping on to show my support!!!

Am feeling more and more led by coincidences now - like was talking to melsy tonight and there were loads of coincidences in the way we thought, which has given me new understandings of some things - can take you along like a rollercoaster.

glitterfairy · 07/10/2004 12:58

I like this one and feel very akin to mystics and visionaries I must say. I have had lesser experiences in the hills and mountains.

melsy · 07/10/2004 13:36

theres a part in the 7th isight experiential book which talks of somone being asked to do alist of things with the question "what would you do if you couldnt fail". It goes on to say that the prson who gave this inof to james redfield , fouind it to be soo powerful a list that it took on alife of its own and all sorts of things happened to create the very things on the list. I love that and have been very inspired to make my own list for the universe to see !!!

Will come back again to 7th as I have had a few other wow feelings from this one. It seems each insight ebbs and flows as does life. Some of them I love as they are looking forward and others I dont as they are looking very inward at negative behaviour and past.

JuniperDewdrop · 07/10/2004 13:48

That's a good question, what would you do if you couldn't fail? I'll ponder that one. I don't have a great deal of ambition career wise though people say I'm a driven person.
Mmmmmm yes I've pondered, I'd like to be an actress. I've only ever done amateur with the church and loved it. Trouble is I don't like anything to interfere with family life at the moment so even being in the local am/dram society would be too much. DHs work takes up so much of our time and I get woken in the night by the phone etc.. so that's another obstacle.
It must be nice to have real drive but am quite happy being the domestic goddess that I am for the moment
It'd be interesting to hear anyone elses ambitions.

glitterfairy · 07/10/2004 21:04

I am a little puzzled by this as much of my work goes around the success of failure! It is so important to learn from failure and mistakes and to see the positives in them. Look at Shackleton everything he did was a failure but he turned it into a great success. Please explain a bit more Melsy!

melsy · 07/10/2004 21:37

OK here goes Im in that explaining moood. I feel that what the comment was trying to say is that mnay of us put blocks in our way in order not to do things or follow our dreams. some of us have self esteemm , blocking us , some of have fear of failure blocking us or a lack of confidence and because of this we may stay frozen in that fear for years and years. I may hold myself back from going for things because i have negative dialogue in my head stopping me from trying things. So doing a list of things that we may be wouldnt dare do with our FEAR tape going round in our heads may just help us to move out of the fear and connect with whats in our hearts to fullfill us. I dont disagree with learning by mistakes, just look at my drive to make my dds cake , I know that concept, but I new deep down I could do it. I get what your saying glitter , but this is a different concept and just helps show us that may be we can acheive more than we think.

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 08/10/2004 07:18

NOpe Melsy I totally agreee with this and think fear is a killer thing which prevents us being the wonderful creative and beautiful people we really are.

You are right this is a different concept! And a brill idea then may go and start my list now!

melsy · 08/10/2004 08:32

Oh Im so glad you came to say that glitter, I was worried there that Id explained it wrong , my stomach flipped at such a challenge !!! I soo often plan wonderful creative concpets and visions of projects and ideas , and soo often dont do it , cos the voice is saying "it wont work " or "it'l never come out the way you want". So Im hoping this list may just be statment to myself and the universe to say YES I CAN DO IT.

OP posts:
JuniperDewdrop · 08/10/2004 09:31

I understand what you're saying Melsy.

I've been pondering again and think one of the reasons I have such low ambition is that my parents were never very encouraging whilst I was at school. Then I went to work somewhere whre I was fairly unhappy for 14 years. I should've got out but didn't. At one point I managed to get in the RAF but didn't take it up as my ex boyfriend wasn't keen.
When I met DH he instilled so much confidence in me it's amazing. He'd never discourage me from doing anything it's just the lack of drive career wise has never really been there. I'm so confident in other things though so don't feel I'm missing out.

melsy · 08/10/2004 09:42

there is nothing worng with being happy with what your doing, thats good thing. I think this isnt just about career or business successs. i think it can be anything ; like learning a new langauge fluently , or making something : like some amazing food or your own flower pot!!!!

Whatever your heart feels it needs to do I think. Its not a wish list as susch , otherwise you could go on and on the rest of your life wishing and not acting on it. Its more an active positive statement e.g ; I WILL LEARN FRENCH FLUENTLY !!!!!

OP posts:
JuniperDewdrop · 08/10/2004 09:44

I was determined to learn Japanese, got the disc etc... but haven't yet. To be honest the novelty wore off
I'm so laid back so maybe this has something to do with my 'happy with my lot' attitude.

How are you today btw Melsy?

melsy · 08/10/2004 09:50

ooh now theres another one for my list. I bought a phrase book for japan, I would love to go there.May be just put it on your list, theres no reason why we cant go back to things. I think the list may just set up an intention.

Im ok today , just pottering at home, had a busy day yesterday and cooked all evening 3 different dishes !! Im meant to be paitning a small tryptique on canvas for a friends house warming gift. They moved in 3 weeks ago and I still havent done it. but ist been hard with dd illness. How are you ??

OP posts:
JuniperDewdrop · 08/10/2004 09:54

I'm just getting over a head cold, went really woozy in Asda the other day and had DS2 with me, then had to go for DS1 at school. Luckily a friend has collected DS1 the past 2 days but I should be ok today.

I'd love to go to Japan too Melsy. One day I will
What's a tryptique btw? And how nice of you to make/do something for your friend!

melsy · 08/10/2004 10:00

trptych - spelt it wrong - orinally 3 religious images on separate panells that are hinged & joined to make one image, but this is just 3 small canvases 5"X 3" each . For thier downstairs loo !!!!

aahh yuck head colds are nasty, have you used a vaporisier?? I find they are brilliant for sleeping with a cold.

OP posts:
JuniperDewdrop · 08/10/2004 10:05

I may have seen one but not known it was a trptych?

I haven't tried a vapouriser but it's a good idea. Think I'll pop to the chemist on the way to get DS2 and see if they have one .

glitterfairy · 08/10/2004 20:26

Juniper career ambition comes from doing a brilliant job the best you can do and really enjoying it and getting postivie feedback from all around. I am really lucky mine is like that and I am nearly in tears sometimes at the wonderful changes that happen to people. I love going to work and my business partner is now reading the celestine prophecies just to keep up with my energy flows so we discuss this as well.

I think that you always have to do something which is true to yourself and true to your inner beliefs more than anything else.

Melsy big hug and happy holiday today! I know it is a special day and so go have a celebratary time!

melsy · 09/10/2004 21:03

Ok NEWS FLASH

Did my NO FAIL list lastnight & BOY OH BOY , its happening already. I again started on my painting yesterday , after a visit to the art shop for more materials. Ive been lookingon ebay tonight to look at buying an easel and happned to choose one (added to my watch list), that says the seller is a power seller(new terms for me) , so I clicked on the icon for power seller and it featured an article(which changes every month) about a young pair of artists who have successfully sold there paintings online and are looking to represent 20 new artists.

So is that the list creates intention for yourself as a postive affirmation , or is that the universal spiritual energy goes your way to make it happen??

So what was the 1st thing on my list hey ???????????????

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 09/10/2004 21:05

There you go melsy - all you have to do is focus on what you want positively and it'll come to you!!! I think its a combo of you focusing and deciding what you really want, and the universe agreeing thats a good thing and 'helping you out'.

melsy · 09/10/2004 21:09

IM an ebay virgin BTW , but this could be a good start !!

OP posts:
melsy · 09/10/2004 21:11

Have you done a list ?? Hiya wobbly , shoudnt really be stopping dh has been sitting alone several nights this week!!!

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 09/10/2004 21:12

Hiya - I've done a list and quite a few have come to pass already, albeit in a very higgedly piggedly way!!! The 'huge' ones haven't come yet - just little ones but give it time!!!

glitterfairy · 10/10/2004 19:43

NO list yet but tomorrow night may be the right time. Am working in a cancer hospital all day tomorrow so this will give me fresh enthusiasm for what I want in life.

Papillon · 11/10/2004 11:54

Hi my name is paps and I have been lurking on your thread

To think that I thought the other insights were a challenge - I think this one takes the cake! To realize your dreams that is no easy task. Probably why I have been lurking!!

There is a song which my grandfather used to sing (I never meet him) which I now sing to baby paps. There is one line in the song which I always feel abit sad about singing ...then like my dreams they fade and die. Here is the full version here
This is a more visual way of looking at it! here No wonder our dreams never come true when we call them dreams and treat them as flight of fancy!

Last week I bought a book - it is a book I used to own 10 years ago but lent it out. The book is called Women who run with the wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. I really like this book as it has lots of old stories which were modernised... e.g. the woman with hair of gold... rapunzel etc. It is about contacting the power of the wild woman or the negleccted places of the feminine psyche. ANYWAY... I asked the book to show me what I most needed to gain from it and opened the book to a story called The handless maiden.
I opened the book to the fourth stage which was headed finding love in the underworld. This passage really drew my attention "...the wild woman, seeds the psyche with perils and challenges in order that the human in despair drives herself back down into her original nature looking for answers and strength, thereby reuniting with the great wild Self and, as much as possible thereafter, moving as one." ...So when reading the 7th this morning I realised that there was a link to the 7th and a passage in the experiential guide... As much as we struggle to make "progress" and to "gain" enlightenment, we are often thrown back to our most human frailties, and in them we find our true nature, our true aliveness.

That is totally happening to me atm... but that is enuf for now... I am off to organise little girl dreams and 1st birthday parties

gothicmama · 11/10/2004 20:04

How weird my dad a West Ham fan sings this to all babies in the family ( it is the West Ham United song)feeling very negative at the mo so this has helped cheerme up - feel very alone but can't think why also feel put upon by rl friends so will leave my list until a bit stronger as who knows what might happen if I did it when not feeling totally right

melsy · 11/10/2004 20:12

Im sorry you feel alone Gmama. Is uni stressfull or is it just your rl life friends??. Ive had waves of lonely / blue of late. Im wondering if its the dark night drawing in. Id say hello msn , but cant log in at the mo.

Remember the list is a positive affirmation of things , so may help you see outside of how you feel. I have been taught a new pattern when feeling down is to think of the chjoices we have I the way we see things and its helped me a lot to become more concious of what I say in my head about down times or the added stress of what I LET others do to my emotions and thats the key , I work at NOT allowing it to come inside IFYWIM. Its taken me a long time to really start using that term properly as an action. I really am gratefull to my hypnotherapist who has taught me to reach a different level of conciouness , alongside this forum of ours.
