Hi All,

I'm a Muslim, first time mum to be inshaAllah in January!

I wondered if there were other Muslim mums first time or otherwise wanting to share experiences.

Hi,
Since it is your first time, I thought it might be useful to say the nafas (after birth bleeding) period is very individual. Just like how different women/ girls have diffrent length periods the nafas is the same thing. It is not talked about enough and when my one lasted 45days 😣it was a suprise. This might be cultural but it suprised most of people and I made a gp as the length scared me, but I finally did my gusul the morning of my appointment. And my doctor said it is in the normal long side of average. I did speak to a sheik and he said ask a doctor if it is normal and if it is normal don't do ghusul till it finishes. Yes, I panicked a bit especially since the women in my mother side all seem to have 2 or 3 weeks only. And that was with a c-section birth.

Hope your pregnancy and birth goes well inshaAllah

Salaams ladies, thank you for the replies. I'm so happy to be pregnant alhamdulliah. I feel like it's one of the biggest blessings Allah gives to you. Smile

Thanks @Notbowokay, that's useful to know. When are you due MapleLeaff?
