Questions for Witches

Hello everyone.
I'm becoming increasingly interested in the world of witchcraft. As I see it, it's about love and veneration of nature, feeling in tune with emotions of self and others, and celebrating festivals linked with the natural world.
I'm really interested in learning more. I am definitely a 'spiritual' person, and would love to understand more about Pagan and earth related faiths.
I realise that this is a huge and diverse issue, but any insights into how to learn more or actually get 'into' things would be great.
I've recently bought a book, and I'm thinking of making it my Book of Shadows but, again, I'm stabbing in the dark really (no pun intended!!)
Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.
Ags.

When I first started I was only young and didn't have money to buy books very often and it was pre internet. I used to borrow books from the library they used to be in the occult section. I made notes in a book of things I felt I was drawn to and started from there.

It's easy to jump in head first and try and take everything in all at once but you have a lifetime to learn so make a list of what interests you most and start making your way through. You can add to the list over time. I started with the wheel of the year and the elements and took it from there.
I don't only use books on paganism I read history, mythology and folklore books as well as books on herbs and other plants.
I became interested in it when I was around 10 and even after nearly 30 years I still think of myself as a beginner as there is so much out there.

I tend to follow more of a goddess worship path rather than traditional wicca but there are no rights or wrongs. I like books by Merlin stone and Carol p christ.
