Interpret my 'peachy' dream?

Lighthearted but would be interested in how you would interpret this dream. I believe that some dreams are messages from the subconscious. I was quite upset and crying before I went to sleep last night and then I had this lovely but odd dream:

I was eating an apple. It didn't seem quite right with the taste and the texture. I looked at it and it looked strange. I then realised it was soft and the skin was furry. I realised it was not an apple but a peach. It was ripe peach, slightly bruised and not 'supermarket-shelf perfect' but lovely and sweet. I could see the inside the fruit and for a second thought I saw a worm but it was nothing. I carried on enjoying my peach.

There were other scraps in my dream, something about me learning and studying.

That's it.

To add, the overriding feeling in this dream was the surprise, pleasant surprise, that I was eating a peach and not an apple. No logical preference of peaches to apples but it distinctly felt in this dream, like 'oh good! I prefer peaches anyway!'.

My first instinct is to say the dream is telling you things are better than you feel they are. Your nice apple turned out to be an even nicer peach.

You mention feeling upset before going to bed.

Dreams are your subconscious mind working things out. Perhaps what had upset you wasn't as bad as you thought? Or there is a better situation awaiting you.

The answers are within you :-)

Much appreciated CMQ. Yes, that's along the lines I was thinking. To be honest, it was a great comfort to me. I needed it!

My feeling was exactly how @CatMotherQueen put it. Things aren’t as bad as they seem, There is still sweetness in the sadness Flowers

What a lovely dream!
