Pagans/Wiccans??

I am new to mumsnet but i wondered if there are any pagans here and if so did you celebrate Lammas last wednesday? If so, how? We were really busy so just made some lovely bread and went for a gorgeous long walk and thanked the elements. Burned some gorgeous frankinsense in the evening and had a great day!

Hi! I'm a Pagan witch.I haven't done any rituals for a while and I tend to make or bake stuff and go for a walk just like you.I have made friends with another mum from a Witchcraft website who lives in the same town as me and she and some others are starting a new Coven.I've been asked to join and I'm thinking of joining so I can enjoy m spirituality and have some me time every now and then.

Solitary Hedgewitch here. Ecletic mix of influences do not really consider myself strictly wiccan but celebrate all Sabats and Esbats.

Pagan here... but my paganness is like many people's Christianity - I know what I believe and live by it, but lots of sabbats etc fall by the wayside!

I used to be more into witchcraft, but it has receded in the last few years. I'm more like flamebatfink now. It's a shame - perhaps I should start putting more effort in.

Pagan mum here. Been a witch for 8 years and used to be quite active celebrating the sabbats etc, but since having my daughter it all fell by the wayside a bit. I'd love to teach her about some of my beliefs and get her involved but she's only 19 months old! lol.

I'm a Norse Tradition Pagan and my hubby describes himself as Eclectic. We don't currently participate in any group events; just celebrate the festivals at home with family meals and sometimes simple rituals that suit both of us. I am a member of an online Pagan Community over at Pagan Activist.

We didn't really make the effort at Lughnasadh as our babe is only just 12 weeks this week and things are pretty hectic as I'm breastfeeding on demand and have little time to get anything prepared. We're making more of an effort for the Autumn Equinox (Mabon to some)as hubby has got the day off. Planning a big meal and some quality time together as a family. Also going out to find some good greenery to decorate my altar

Just found this thread! A long-time wiccan here with a lo of 1 year old. No longer active with the coven which disbanded a while back, but about to attend a wonderful sea priestess/equinox ritual by the sea - my first 'formal' ritual in ages and looking forward to meeting old friends. Less active than I would like to be in the wiccan/pagan community but learning lots about motherhood and the magic of that right now!

Hi Ettena! Its going to be down on the south coast - sorry to be secretive but its a closed ritual this time. I do get invited to open circles and events too and can give info where wanted.
Motherhood is so crazy.... it's gotta be the hardest and most wonderful thing I've ever done. Mind you, being 43 when I had him you'da thought I might have been better prepared...

I'm a long time too, but have never been involved in anything formal. I worship by being outside and I leave offerings on special days. When ttc DS I visited several places that felt 'right' (such as St Catherine's Hill outside Winchester)
and asked for blessings. I don't know if I would actually want to be in a formal, organised rite or whether it would spoil the reflective nature of it, which is what I find most nurturing. I know some people really enjoy exploring their spirituality in company though. Maybe I should try it to see?

I spent Lammas gardening,then cooking.I prefer not to do rituals on the special days,and tend to just do some gardening,cooking,go for walks etc,then have a big celebratory dinner in the evening with my family

I'm pagan-friendly, let's say...

(I don't do any organised religion but kind of get along with many elements of many religions. The nearest I'd get to committing myself is a bit of hedge-witchery and nature-loving. I always mark the equinoxes and as a family, we're big on counting our blessings and showing gratitude...just not terribly specific as to whom we're thanking IYKWIM)

I stumbled upon this link by chance, my mum was a witch and my aunty still is - I have cousins that are pagans and I have always teetered on the brink - I find it fascinating and have a HUGE respect for you all.

I would be really grateful if someone could PM me with some links to some reputable websites I could look at and join to find out more - I have surfed loads and don't know which are ok!!
