I'm part of a Jewish mum's FB group, but it turns out that the vast majority are are lot more observant than I am! I'm Reform/Liberal and the only "young mum" in my community.

You’d expect a Jewish mums FB group to be religious, wouldn’t you? I mean, if you wanted a great bacon recipe you could just go to some other FB group. So the ones on the Jewish group would be generally the ones who keep some degree of kashrut? And because of where Jews tend to be they’d be more likely to discuss London issues and less likely to discuss, eg, upcoming events in Cornwall

I actually expected them to be very secular and mostly American... Being a Jew goes beyond religion, it's a cultural identity in the end.

Hello! I'm Reform/Masorti (small city - no Masorti Shul so I go to a Reform one). Not a mum yet, but working on it.

Hello @Bezalelle how big is your community? Ours is made of maybe 15-20 regulars and the average age is around 75!

Wow, so sorry it took me an age to reply, @Rainbowhairdontcare. I'm in the process of planning my wedding and things are a little hectic.

The Reform community I'm part of is a pretty decent size for a small city. 300 members on paper, about 200 turn up for yomtov, and average of 30 people for shabbat morning. Lots of children, which is nice to see.

The three orthodox shuls have an older demographic.

I'm a member of a Masorti congregation down in London too, which is a bit more ad hoc. Lots of members but they don't have a permanent base.
