Has a psychic predicted how many children you’ll have?

I know this sounds ridiculous but...

I have 2 children - 2 girls. My husband and I go back and forth always arguing, well debating, about a 3rd. I’m up for a 3rd but he mainly is not or if we did - he says we HAVE to wait until my youngest is at school - 3 and half years away. I think he’s saying that just because he thinks I will be ‘over’ the want for another baby then. Especially when he starts talking bout holidays like Florida which he says we would never be able to do with 3.

I suppose what I’m trying to say is I know a really good clairvoyant, should I risk going or leave things like that up to ‘time will tell’ ?

I saw one in Covent Garden and at Glastonbury. Both said I will be pregnant 5 times. I've had 2 abortions and 2 pregnancies. Would love a third child but dh against the idea.

I suppose the deeper question is are there genuine psychics, as well as a lot of guess work merchants? If there are genuine ones, what does this mean (we live a fated life? life after death). How can we tell? What do we do with the knowledge? Did someone telling you you'd have x number of kids change your behaviour?

BertrandRussell · 29/05/2019 18:26

Not often that a deeper question can be answered with a simple “no”.

vasillisa · 29/05/2019 18:28

No as in you don''t think anyone is psychic?

I'm agnostic on this one.

Jason118 · 04/06/2019 23:08

@vasillisa
I've a way to go yet, on two so far but there's still timeSmileSmileSmile

Yeah, a medium told me when I was 17 that I'd be a young mum and that I'd have a daughter at 23. I gave birth to my daughter a few months before my 23rd birthday!

I was told by a palm reader I'd have two children but potentially three or four pregnancies (meaning one or two would be lost).

I've had multiple mediums telling me that a boy is on his way. In fact every time I've seen a medium, or my mum has gone, this has come up. It's yet to happen but I'll update if it does! They say the spirits of the babies linger around your aura, waiting for the opportunity to come in, and this is how they can tell when a pregnancy is nearby.

I was in a library when I was 7 and the librarian fairly casually read my palm and said I would have 3 children and be married 3 times. I'm twice divorced and have 2 children plus an mc. I really hope I don't get married again!

Lifecraft · 09/06/2019 20:37

So they got it wrong, you were 22 when you had your daughter.

puppylambkins · 15/08/2019 21:54

Yes! I was told I would have two children and my friend would have none. We laughed about it at the time as I can't have kids and she always wanted them. It ended up I have two step kids and she hadn't been able to have any, sadly, so fortune teller had last laugh

AntiHop · 15/08/2019 21:59

Many years ago I consulted a psychic at a very low point in my life.

She told me I'd marry the man I was at that time in love with, and have 3 children with him.

Well that man I was in love with died and I've only got one child with dp, and unlikely to have any more with dp as I'm 41.

These days i know that psychics are simply charlatans and liars.

RJoneszy · 03/09/2019 19:59

I've had it predicted I'd have 2... not predicted gender. I haven't had them yet so I don't know if she was right or not ! Wink

RJoneszy · 03/09/2019 20:01

@AntiHop I haven't had great experience with psychics either.

Be warey when they ask for your star sign also! They can tell a lot from that.

I once had my star sign asked and my partner's and she just went off that....

Lifecraft · 03/09/2019 20:21

Be warey when they ask for your star sign also! They can tell a lot from that.

What can they tell from that, other than the time of year you were born?

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 04/09/2019 04:39

@Lifecraft

Presumably that you're the sort of gullible fool who gives credence to nonsense like star signs, and as such, you're wide open to being taken for a ride.

Lifecraft · 04/09/2019 13:23

Yes, of course. I'd totally overlooked that.

RJoneszy · 04/09/2019 14:15

@Lifecraft they can tell a lot from your star sign!! Personality, future predictions on your birth chart, etc.....

mama1980 · 04/09/2019 16:58

I had a full reading done once by a psychic, palm reader and astrologer. (Its was at an event) as I was curious. All confidently predicted I would have one child and two husbands in my life....
.....4 children and no husbands later Grin

Pinkbonbon · 04/09/2019 17:04

Been told I'd have two. I asked if they would be adopted, he said no my own. I've been anti having my own since I was a kid, would never do it. Nothing else he said came to pass either surprise surprise. And he was from a fancy psychic centre place so supposed to be good.

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 04/09/2019 17:06

Yes she got the number and sex right. She also said other things which are very specific to me and nobody else knew and had no way of knowing.

I don't believe in any of that clairvoyant malarkey BTW. She just happened to guess right on everything she said.

IdblowJonSnow · 04/09/2019 17:10

Yes and it was bollocks. Save your money!

Drabarni · 04/09/2019 17:13

Cross my palm with lots of silver and I'll guess tell you.
There are some gullible people.
I wish I had the nerve to rip people off like this, tell me I'm doing the right thing by not doing.

Cooroo · 04/09/2019 17:57

Nobody can predict the future. They can make educated guesses, no more. Are you suggesting the future is set in stone? It's bollocks, sorry.

Drabarni · 04/09/2019 18:00

It's not bollocks and at one time served a good purpose, but not anymore. Like other professions it has been used to con people rather than it's original use.

TwattingDog · 04/09/2019 18:01

I had my palm read about 18yrs ago at a posh do. Apparently I'd have 7 children, including twins.

I'm 39 and married to an infertile man. 3 miscarriages in my 20s. Meh.

Drabarni · 04/09/2019 18:01

How much are they charging these days? and what do you get for your money, anyone know?
