Feeling "odd"

Hello all, this may be totally the wrong place but I feel that something hasn't been right with me today, and wondered if anyone else finds that sometimes they're all out of whack for no apparent reason?

I had some lovely news at work today and advice about promotions, secondments and progression - and a chat with a really fab senior female colleague for mentoring. But I haven't been able to appreciate or enjoy any of that and I'm really not feeling myself. Just a bit out if sorts and discombobulated. I'm quite attuned to my relationship with everything around me and havent seen this coming at all.

Has anyone got an explanation either for a general feeling of suddenly feeling displaced - and how to get rid of it? - or any ideas if what this might be related to? The moon?

It's blue Monday today apparently. Supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.

Hmm thanks iklboo, I understand where you're coming from but it's not that - more a slight emptiness or distance.

When I was very stressed once I felt detached from my body. It was a most odd feeling.

While I'm not suggesting that you are depressed, what you describe is how I have sometimes felt in the run-up to episodes of depression.

Have you tried exercise or a very vigorous massage? Perhaps your body needs a good jolt of endorphins to reset.

Does it feel, spiritual, psychological or physical?
