C of E the same as Anglican?

Apologies for offending anyone, but I have a really silly question (honestly, I am degree educated!).

Am C of E but our local church is Anglican (actually, next door!). Could I ask to get my DS christened there?

What's the difference?

CofE = Anglican

In England.

But ther are loads of other Anglicn demnomimnations (eg Scottish Episcopal) tha hre not Cof E
