Services at Westminster Abbey

Has anybody been to a free public service at Westminster Abbey? I would love to go to a Communion Service there and wondered if I would be able to look around the Abbey, for example at the tomb of the unknown soldier, after the service.

When I have been to church there people have been hurried out afterwards and sightseeing has not been allowed.

The other one, (is it Westminster cathedral? The stripey one) is beautiful and you can linger and relax after a service.

I've been to the lunchtime Eucharist and evensong at Westminster Abbey a number of times. Both services are well done and there are plenty of tourists at both. You don't get free admission to see the rest of the cathedral however you do see more of the cathedral if you go for evensong as you walk through the nave to get to the chancel where they hold the service. In the summer you do have to queue for evensong so get there in plenty of time.
