Bright blessings to you!

How will you celebrate today? I am lucky to be home so shall be venturing out to gather holly boughs and foliage to decorate my altar, and to finish off my Yule log.

We have also been studding oranges with cloves which is creating the most Christmassy smell!

We will eat a meal together later and enjoy some mulled cider (apple juice for the ten year old).

Hope you have a happy and peaceful day.

Celebrating today ( as the point of Solstice was after dark last night). The candle burned all night and the house is still here. I was a bit worried as we were out last night all evening.

I'd like to say I was out to greet the return of the sun but I'm still suffering from a chest infection so slept through the whole thing Sad

Happy Solstice everyone

I had a quiet night mainly due to house refurbishment and several boxes high in front of the altar! I did make some small Solstice presents for my team at work with small glass candle jars from Asda, a red votive candle, red ribbon and a sprig of holly from my garden.

I have a tall glass and metal lantern from Ikea which I use when I want to burn a candle 🕯 through and I've heard advice to leave a candle in the bathtub if it needs to burn too.
