Can anybody recommend any forums for pagans?

I'm currently investigating green witchcraft and would like to chat with like minded people, but all the places I've found online are just very quiet.

I'm interested in herbal medicine/remedies, connecting with nature, rocks, minerals and crystals etc. I'm not really 'woo', but I believe in the healing power of nature and I make my own remedies.

If anybody could recommend anywhere or share advice here I'd very much appreciate it as I don't know how to get into the witchcraft side of things Smile

Are you on facebook? - Most of the public online pagan groups seem to have migrated there. As you say, the old forums have gone pretty quiet. There are some good "hedgewitch" groups on facebook. There is a particularly nice one but it's "secret" so you'd have to friend request me on FB so I can add you. If you'd like me to then send me a message privately

Otherwise put hedgewitch or hedgewitchery into a facebook search and you'll get some suggestions - some are definitely better than others though but it's fun looking

Hi, I can chat, not sure what you mean by "woo" though.

Thank you for your replies Smile

I am on fb and joined a group, but it's also very quiet Sad

I'm not woo in the sense that I don't believe in spirits or gods, but I do believe that we're interconnected with the natural world and can gain spiritual feelings of peace and belonging this way. I believe that people should reconnect with nature and the seasons and moon again as we used to thousands of years ago. I love rocks and minerals and making healing teas and potions from herbs and wild plants.

I don't know how to get started or what I should be doing. I'd love to chat with others who're into this kind of thing.

Elphame I'd feel embarrassed being admitted to a secret group as I lack so much knowledge and experience Sad I don't want to make people cross with me by asking silly questions or anything. I don't even know which pagan path I should be following. I like the idea of green witchcraft/wise woman type thing, but what would I do about spells etc.?

There is a shop called 'The Goddess and the Green Man' in the south. I'm sure if you contact them they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Sorry, forget the details!......................

Goddess and the Green Man
Address: 17 High St, Glastonbury BA6 9DP

Phone: 01458 834697

OatsLocated - it's only secret because it was targeted by trolls! This keeps them out so it's a nice place to be. You don't have to participate - I'd say like all FB groups only 5% actually post!

OatsLocated · 03/08/2017 13:25

Oh perhaps that might be okay then. I'll pm you.

Thank you for the shop details Sixties Smile

The Scottish Pagan Federation host a friendly page over on Facebook - loads of newbies asking questions which get a range of replies, as well as interesting articles etc. Lots of members from outside Scotland too.

I'd avoid witchy forums like the plague = they are a hot bed of arguments.
Definitely Pagan fed, avoid all the rest.

Witchfest in Brighton this year, you will meet lots of people there.
