My dream... what do you think it means?

I have a regular dream which I will have every night for a few months then won't have for ages then it will pop back up again!

In my dream there is a sound of knocking (like on a door) and there is a man (just a man no background or anything else) beckoning me to come closer with his finger. He is smiling in a knowing way and wears a suit and bowler hat. The knocking is so loud in my head it wakes me up and I jump out of bed in case it is the door! This can get quite tiring if I have a long run of having the dream.

This may sound strange but I think it is to do with me discovering my senses more if that makes sense. I often have psychic and paranormal experiences but don't let on to anyone.
What do others think?

can't shed any light sorry but just to say I often hear knocking when I'm sleeping and quickly run down and open the door, thinking I'll have missed them, and there's no-one there and I've just dreamt it.

hi kay hows you? i have had experiences of this and of the doorbell going as well but when i answer (no earthly person would have had time to get away because one of our windows is right by the front door) there isn't anybody there. as it's late (for me today anyway!) can i suggest you pop along to your nearest spiritualist church and talk to them? from your op, it sounds like you might be ready to experience alot more than you think you are and this gentleman may be one of your guides. i'ms orry i'm too tired to help you anymore than that tonight x

Kay - how do you feel emotionally in the dream? Do you feel as if you trust the man? Do you know what he is there for or his reason for smiling in a knowing way?

If you have the dream again perhaps you should ask yourself whilst you're in it or immediately on waking if it feels significant and if it's your inclination to follow when he beckons... try and go with it maybe?

I think the knocking isn't significant, I think the man is....

(I could now say something cheesy like "opportunity knocks" but I won't... oops! )

Hi thanks for you all for replying

I wouldn't be totally against going to spiritualist church but would be quite hard logistically to get to one! Have ds, work evenings and saturdays and my partner works a shift pattern

Rainbowwalker, I feel apprehensive but not scared in the dream, the man feels familiar but does not look familiar. I get a friendly feeling from him and he has a twinkle in his eye (thats the best way I can think to describe it). Next time I have the dream am gonna ask him!

fransmom can you recommend any good books I could have a read of? Looked in book shop the other day in the spiritual section and there are so many!
