What is the sharp blue light?

Hi, can anyone tell me why for months sometimes I keep seeing a sharp deep blue light. It is only there fora split second and then it goes. Sometimes it is a very deep blue and sometimes it is only light blue.

Also I did Reiki level one a few years ago and while I was placing my hands over the arm of one of the ladies in the class I closed my eyes and just got this really close up image of a really wrinkled old face. It really shook me up and I had a feeling that something terrible had happened to this woman. I still think about it now and i think it is holding me back from level two reiki!

Not sure if the two are connected but any views on either of these would be useful.

migraine, im not sure that it is very spiritual but seeing flashing lights etc and other visual disturbances can be a sign of an impending migraine, headache or not

you should also get your eyes checked. no, i am not taking the mick, get the pressure tested

The pressure?! Is that where they puff air into your eyes?
I do get migraines though so it could be that, its just that it seems to happen very frequently. I never had migraines before i had kids or this blue light for that matter.

as well as getting your eyes checked to count/discount anything of physical nature, have you thought that as your level of spirituality gets higher, that you might be sensing spirit?

I thought maybe I was in some way. It might sound a bit silly but my dhs mother died about three years ago and I'm sure she visits my sons who she never met, unfortunately. Today my son went to the gate and he was just chatting away. He told me it was granny. I thought maybe my mum had turned up, but there was no one there. I asked him what did she say?
He started waving and said 'hello' then i asked him 'what did she say after that?' and he replied 'bye bye'
Who knows, might just be a load of old rubbish.
A reflexologist who also practiced Reiki told me if i did level two it would completely change my life!
Im not sure what she meant really.

it's not a load of old rubbish. dd turned round one day and told me that she could see nanny - my mom died nearly 8years ago - and dd got a bit upset and anxious that i couldn't physically see her. i knew someone was there because of the change in the atmosphere of that part of the room. it did upset me but i still said to my dd "well, why don't you go and give her a kiss?" and dear me she went and gave nanny a kiss. the whole thing kind of knocked me for six because while ago a medium had turned round and said to me that my daughter would turn round and tell me when spirit were there and now she has, it's well i'm not sure how to describe or even take it. what blew me away even more was that the atmosphere changed even more and i could then see a very hazy outline of my mother bending to give her gd a kiss

(deep breath) so, no, it's not rubbish

my dd woul doften talk about someone else in the room and would ask me wha tcertain words meant[ they were french] and i dont speak french but i found out that my great great grandad was frencha nd one day when we were looking at photos with my mom my dd said tha twas the man tha twas in the house talking to her!! she also used to tell me about peoples` power ,their chakras and tell me what colour they were, at the age of 2 1/2 she was looking intently a t my stomach and when i asked her what she was doing , she replied she was looking a t my power!! amazing

Hi,

How do you see the light. If it is right in front of your eyes and flashes it could be a simple floater.

However, the blue light you describe could be spiritual. I used to see flashes but they got more and more prominent over the years until I could see streaks of light quite clearly.

I also get the face thing you describe and more recently I hear the voices. It's shocking at first. I saw my first image at 13 and I was scared but over the years they happened more and more.Then I asked for names to the faces and thats when the voices started.

I think it does change your life. For me, the more spiritually advanced i have become, the more light I feel inside. You just see the world differently IYSWIM.

If it is spirit you are seeing, it might not be that you are going to start speaking to the dead by developing your skills etc. Your natural abilities might be to become a healer. This could be the spirit worlds way of letting you know they are there around you for love and support.

I have seen a spirit before. I was at my friends house in bed. She lived in an old victorian building converted into flats. The image i saw was a woman bending down as if she was lighting a candle. Then it just disappeared. The guy in the flat below her said other people had seen it too.

I think the blue light could mean a number of things, for instance the blue light is significant in Buddhism and is spoken about in the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying where those who want to avoid another cycle of birth in these suffering realms should follow the blue light on death (which only appears for a short time) rather than the more appealing bright shining light which will take you back through the cycle of rebirth yet again. This is just a small part of the explanation, you would have to read the book more to get a greater understanding of it.

So far as reiki is concerned, you could meditate on the meaning of the light. Do you ask for ascended reiki masters and other unseen friends to help assist you with your practice for example? Do you have a reiki guide who is an ascended master, perhaps you've not encountered them yet and maybe they're making their presence known to you. Are you perhaps sensitive to their presence yet don't realise this?

With regards to the second attunement - to me there is no comparison between this and the first attunement. The second attunement gives you the ability to channel much more energy and allows you to increase that energy through use of the symbols which you are given at the time of the attunment. The second attunement also gives you additional symbols which allow you to channel emotional healing energy and to do distance healing. If you are interested in continuing to work with reiki then i would recommend you getting the second attunement done.

There is a good reiki forum here with some reiki masters on it and a lot of lovely reiki practitioners too - you may want to ask them about your experiences and see what advice they come back with.
