Christening gifts from a god-mother?

MOIST · 07/06/2017 07:29

I've been asked to be God mother to my dear friends little boy.

Any suggestions for a lovely gift please?

I was wondering about maybe a nice Nativity set or Noah's Ark? Or
Children's bible stories? Fancy bible?

Opinions and suggestions most welcome.

I like this Beginners Bible.

Or a wooden Noah's Ark would be nice. My DS was given a money box by practically everyone who came to his Christening so maybe avoid those in case everyone else gets one too.

How old is he?

He's 8 months.

I would go for one of the scripture union ones, like this. Can't link properly as I'm on the mobile site.

I was given this lovely book as a gift for my first communion, aged 7. I could read it to myself by then, but for an infant it would be a nice keepsake? www.ebay.co.uk/i/382100432567?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=43333907642&rlsatarget=pla-299844077723&abcId=1088846&adtype=pla&merchantid=9876004&poi=&googleloc=1007161&device=c&campaignid=805983114&crdt=0

I just gave my Godson a Beginners bible, we have a copy too that DS enjoys so it seemed like a sensible gift. I've also got a prayer journal for me to use when praying for him (if that masked sense)
