What are your Ash Wednesday plans?

I'm doing the sermon tomorrow the vicar's let me do a sermon before and it went well but tomorrow's a big day so I'm terrified

I am giving up the computer this year for Lent. I have about five hours left.

I'm listening to DD and her friend sing the top part in Allegri Miserere. They've not done it before. I may need tissues.

Well, I will say goodbye for now, just in case I don't get to talk to you again. I will see you ALL in SIX weeks at Easter.

Went to evening Mass and received ashes and communion.

A very young sounding baby cried out for a few seconds before the service started and our priest reacted in his usual disappointing grouchy manner - scowling and rolling his eyes. Words need to be said again.

Thank God all parishes are not the same.
