Possible psychic abilities of kids

Do your kids come out with coincidences, unusual comments about things they couldn´t possibly know about? Something that makes you think they might have psychic abilities etc?
Or have you experienced mental telepathy with your kids?

I have seen there are some books about it, but has anyone experienced it themselves especially with your kids.

Ds1 told me I was pregnant with ds2. That might not seem odd but at the time I'd just given up ever having another baby of my own and was looking to adoption. I'd been told previously I'd gone through the menopause.

We were sat eating dinner at my mums house and totally out of the blue he said - mummy's got a baby in her belly. Both my mum and I were startled and I gently told him that I couldn't have because I couldn't have anymore babies. That's when he looked at me and said - well there's a baby in there.

Three weeks later having not had a period, I did a test and he was right. I wouldn't have done a test if ds1 hadn't planted the thought in my mind. He couldn't have know because I didn't know.

There's been plent other instances like this where ds1 has said something and it's been near enough impossible but has then been true.

My ds1 is very trying and some of the things do seem like him.

They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it) - YES

They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.
Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are."
They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice). - YES

They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them. - YES

They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought. - YES

They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system). - YES

They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially. - NOT SURE, BUT HE PREFERS OLDER KIDS

They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did". - NOT ALWAYS

They are not shy in letting you know what they need. - YES

I can apply some of the above, well most of it to ds1.

seems like inherited possible psyhic traits are very different from the ones a child might have that are shown on that link.

We always call dd princess.. inherited name from me but I was born b4 1982 so hope that gets me off the hook! But she does take on a royal facial appearance sometimes so I had better watch out!

When my Grandma died, I was unable to go to the funeral as dd was only 6 weeks old and it was an 8 hour drive. So I felt like I had missed out on saying goodbye.

Anyway about a week or so later I think it was, ds just said to me 'Grandma says goodbye', I was stunned but incredibly honoured that somehow she had found a way.(It makes me cry just to think of it!)She herself had the gift, she used to do writing and drawings etc.

Also, not sure if this is unusual at all, but ds says so many things that I'm thinking at that particular moment, and has since he could talk. I put it down to 'being on the same wavelength'! he does it at least a couple of times a week.

I have said before that I believe all children have psychic/spiritual abilities and that society/life in general beats it out of them.
Both of my boys (in fact all 6 cousins of that generation) have already shown in various ways that they have psychic gifts of assorted type.
It can be hard to encourage these sparks of ?ability? without seeming to force them into performing. The best way is to simply accept what they say and do as perfectly normal ? for instance, include their invisible friends in conversations ? subtle rather than overt encouragement.
Having said that, try this one. When your kids (the younger the better) do drawings of people or animals, ask them to draw the colours that they can see around the outside. The result can be some beautiful (and often very accurate) aura drawings.

smellymelly - how nice that your grandma managed to get a message to you, and in such a lovely way.

I have a lovely photo of my dad, taken when he was about 5, looking incredibly like DS1. Dad died in 1999, DS2 was born in 2001. Last week DS2 found the photo in an old album and starting clapping and shouting 'granddad', although he has never seen the picture before. It was lovely as it broke my heart that dad never got to meet DS2 and now I feel they have a connection.

I am firmly of the opinion that all children have psychic abilities. One thing that I noticed and which seemed so apparent to me was that when I was pregnant (but not showing) so many children stared at me. I would be out shopping for instance and a child with their mum or dad may be walking towards me and the child would be staring quite intensely at me. I also noticed this when picking my dd up from nursery when I was pregnant with my ds - some of the children would just stop and stare...

Also when dd was about 18m/2y I bought her a little shopping set which included a set of 6 eggs. When she saw them she exclaimed "ooooh googies" My dad used to call eggs googies and I don't know anyone else who does this but he died 2 years before she was born. My mum used to say she had a knowing look about her like she'd been here before.

Can I just ask a question about auras? When I was about 18 I worked in an office with a woman who said she could see auras and she could tell what sort of person they were. However, she always maintained she couldn't see mine. Why would that be?

Jampot - Could be a few reasons.

Some people can only read auras if the person they are reading is 'open' - in other words, if you put up mental barriers they can?t get past them to read you.

Alternatively, maybe she could only read in certain conditions ? work is not a good environment. Did she ever try reading you in a more relaxed setting?

Or ? could she really read auras? I have met people before who claim they can read auras, but in fact haven?t got a clue what they are talking about. When challenged, they couldn?t read me. Or they would give the wrong colours (the colours can vary depending on who is reading you, but if you ask for the actual meaning, that shouldn?t change IYKWIM)

Wow Snugs, I do tend to put up barriers with people but I did also wonder if she could in fact read them. What do they look like and what do they signify?

Argh ? toughie ?. How to describe an aura?

You know that sort of after- image glow you get of objects if you have been staring at them for a long time, or when someone has taken a flash photo? Well to me, auras are a bit like that ? a fuzzy halo of light around the outside of a person, plant or animal.

The colours have various meanings (the interpretation of each individual colour is personal to the reader, but many are universal).

For example, my mum?s aura at the moment is a mix of a rich blue and pure white (when I read it). To me that signifies that she is going through an intensely spiritual stage of her life and is empowered with a healing gift. The colours have always been there, but recently have become stronger. Means nothing until I say that she is currently studying Reiki healing as well as teaching her own classes in psychic development.

Blue seems often the standard colour with auras with other colours then in there.

I think that was a good point about blocking energy so that someone cannot read you. I have done that before to people who have done that to me univited. I remember a man trying to read me and saying that I was very far away. I had closed my energy off to him.. so it was difficult for him to see me.

A friend who sees auras often described mine as being blue and green. When we were working together in a variety performance called the Goddess show (which was great fun) she said that I had silver in there too. It was a time of a lot of women performing together and getting into spiritual concepts in a very creative way.

Black, as an aside, I think is not just if someone has died, but for grief for oneself or for another.

okay - so how do I get my aura read?

Well I you can either learn to read auras yourself - or look out for somebody who advertises (health food shops often have people advertising). Or go to someone who does Kirlian Photography

interesting to see that Nicola Tesla first experimented with it - that guy is amazing!
