Help with spiritual/psychic development

I feel like i have a 'gift' (is that the correct word?!?) and i dont know how to develop it. I have seen things, but more in my minds eye rather than a physical presence and i have preminitions(sp) in dreams, and i also feel that i can slow situations down, and see tiny details and predict whats going to happen, i know it sounds weird but the best way to describe it is like when your watching programs and press the slow button. I also know i have a lady with me, i think she is a relative, and she stands by my left shoulder, or if i am worried she strokes my hair. I have been told by many people that i have the ability to do healing, and also to pass on messages, however i have never actually had messages given to me. Basically i dont know what to do about any of this! I want to develop it, but if you google it, you get many weird and wonderful sites!!

hello! i have been in the same situation as you and the best thing i did was to join a development circle at a local spiritualist chucrh near where i used to live. bear in mind tho that if you don't feel comfortable in a particular building you are able to not go back

I was thinking of going to the spiritualist church, but i have never been before and to be honest, i'm a bit nervous and i have no idea of what to expect, or what happens etc.

Sarz, agree that you'll feel at home in a development group. Lucky you to be so far already I go to one twice a week and have been a member of my local spiritualist church for a few weeks. You do an induction course first at ours and then go to a development group. Then when the leader feels you're ready you become a member.

Ulysees that would be great if you could post the link!! So did you get to the development circle through the spiritualist church? I am still so nervous to make that 1st step and contact them! i dont know what i am scared off, and the church is just down the road from me, so i am being very silly!

Have you been to a clairvoyant demonstration yet? You can talk to the chairperson or doorperson about development. They'll be lovely don't worry

Yes I go to the local spiritualist awareness centre. I used to be CofE but felt drawn here and have never been happier.

Your church should have a service tonight?

I went to a clairvoyant demonstration about 6 years ago and spoke to the lady afterwards, who gave me details of her development circle, but my mum wouldnt let me go (i was 16 and she was right to stop me, it was her that took me to the demonstration but she said i was not mature enough to get involved yet, i was mad at the time but now i am glad!!) thank you for the link.

Hi Sarz. I got interested in spiritualism through my in-laws who are involved with the local spiritualist church. I'd been told that I had abilities but had no idea where to start, and a lovely lady at their church helped me to get started on picking up messages. There's a local shop that sells things like crystals, pendulums and books about spiritualism and psychic stuff and they run courses - so I've now signed up to do the introduction to psychic awareness! If there's a shop like that anywhere like that near you might be worth popping in.
