We've all been away for a break and b4 we went the summerhouse key went missing. DS1 had been using it and showed me where he put it but we couldn't find it. My mum had the other one on my keys.
When we got back on Friday we searched again. No joy. On Saturday morning I got up and the handle of the floor mop was across the back door and the key was sticking out of the hanging hole
There's no way DH or the kids had been down as they all sleep like logs and they were gobsmacked when I asked them.
My mum and sis said they've felt someone touching them, mam felt tugging on her jumper. I just hope this is my late sister's way of contacting us.

I am glad you have posted this juniper as I am sure we have got a ghost aswell! Things keep being moved. My husband heard the stairgate open and close and got up because he thought it was one of the children but they were asleep. The phone jumped off the side and hit me. Then when I came back the other day I couldnt turn the handle, it was as though someone was holding it from the other side, but then it opened so easily after. I have had doors slam behind me for no valid reason. I have come home to find the back door wide open when I locked it. It is weird. The dogs arent bothered by it though

Do you really think it is a ghost Fio2? Would you like it too go away.. it is not spooking you out I guess!

I "lost" some sunglasses for about 4 days afew weeks ago.. could not find them anywhere, then discovered on the dining table. I mean, they were right on the edge - nothing around them directly in front of the door. I could not believe that I had not seen them there before, they were sooo obvious. Perhaps I just need my eyes tested

Hi fio and papillon,
we've had a lot of things like this happen since my sis died last year. My mam stayed over one night and lost her glasses, we searched for days like you papillon and they turned up in an obvious place. Plus mam has 'lost' her purse in front of me and I searched her bag only for it to appear again.

no it is not spooking me, I bet I sound like a mad woman! I guessed if it wasnt scaring the dogs, it must be a kind ghost at that. Juniper I thought it might be my sister too, she died 2 years ago and I guessed that is why it didnt spook the dogs

juniper68 · 14/06/2004 10:20

I'm sorry to hear that fio xx

Sorry to hear about your sisters Juniper & Fio2 - I hope if it is them making their presence felt that you can take some comfort from it.

In house we call them gremlins. Items often go missing and then reappear exactly were we left them, days later. I think the gremlins have fast growing nails - the nail clippers are the most frequent item taken

Snugs · 14/06/2004 11:39

that would be 'in OUR house' of course
