Edinburgh weekend break - central evangelical church recommendation?

Hi all

My family (DH, a pastor of a small but lively rural church, DS nearly 8 and DD 3.5) and I are heading to Edinburgh for a weekend break 8/9 October and I'd appreciate a recommendation of a church to head to on the Sunday morning. On previous breaks we've been to Hillsong (London) and City Church in Newcastle so that's the sort of church we'd be interested in visiting.

We're staying in the old part of the city, just off the Royal Mile and would rather be able to walk (max 30 mins?) but I appreciate he weather might be rubbish so in that case somewhere easy to travel to would be great.

Thanks in advance!! Flowers

Carrubbbers Christian Centre is actually on the Royal Mile just down from the Raddison on the other side of the road. (opposite the museum of childhood) Its a lovely church

Charlotte chapel on shandwick place is popular, and sounds like your cup of tea Smile

Thanks all for your suggestions. After lots of research we walked to Kings Church and it was just what we were looking for. Were you there minipin?!
