Christian/Biblical girls name

I'm looking for a girls name which has a Christian meaning, such as faith, hope, God is my saviour etc. Hannah and Grace are both out but we like these names as there's no question how to spell/pronounce.

I'm hoping some folks here with Biblical knowledge might be able to help Smile

Abigail is a Biblical name and means Joy of the Father.

Elsie isn't in the Bible but means God is bountiful.

We had an Esther and Eve at our old church. New church has no girls apart from my one and only a few boys! Our old church had lots of amazing boys names tho lol

buffalo it's a brilliant story!

A brave woman of God fulfilling his purpose in doing what none of the men were able to do.

I really can't see your issue with it.

Thank you everyone, some good suggestions here. I'm definitely going to look up the story of Jael, I'm intrigued!

The story of Jael is a good one from biblical perspective. Like poster above said, a woman fulfilling a mission that the men could not resulting in Israel overcoming their enemies. A true warrior.
But it depends where you are on biblical heroes and wars, some may take issue with the violence Jael demonstrated, but all war is violent.

Christine means child of Christ - maybe a bit old fashioned now but at least there won't be another 10 in the class!

Theodora (or sometimes, by me, spelt Theadora) is a lovely name, though not Biblical, meaning gift from God.
Mary (or its variants -Maria etc) is a great Biblical name.
My Dad was obsessed with the name Ruth for dd. We didn't use it, but another good Bliblical name.
Rachel, Sarah, Deborah are also nice.
