Iftar - can non-Muslims contribute food?

Apologies for my ignorance here. Our local mosque has invited the non-Muslim community to share in the breaking of the fast, which I think is a really lovely idea. Would it be inappropriate to offer to contribute food? I suspect I wouldn't be able to go to the whole event but would love to support it. I don't want to cause any offence so any advice would be welcome!

Of course it would be as long as the food you take conforms to dietary requirements. If in doubt take some chocolates!
