A present a night for 8 nights, plus from my parents, plus donut and latke parties, plus being allowed to handle fire (lighting the candles) - the Candles are definitely enjoying Hannukah, and so are we!

Happy Hannukah! a bit erratic on the presents. will be more organised next year. DS is only 2 & DD 9 months so just a few presents on the first night. Loads of doughnuts yesterday.

I don't think you say chag sameach for Chanukah but not 100% sure. I just stick with Happy Chanukah!

We're having a great time here. DS 3 and DD 5 are really enjoying it this year. Presents every night - although only a couple of big things, the rest are little things like a torch or a dreidel or a CD. We had the whole family plus a couple of friends round on Sunday for a party with latkes and donuts and the kids all had a blast. The big ones did a Chanukah "show" for us (my DD played the part of the donkey defacing the temple - it was a very proud mummy moment ). And the little ones ran around dressed up as Stephanie and Sportacus and singing Twinkle Twinkle Chanukah lights.

oooh just found this thread so happy chanukah to you all!! It is DS's first chanukah so we are very excited - he loves the candles ... not managed to eat any donuts yet but there is still time.
