I'm very interested in learning more about Buddhism. I have moderate anxiety and stress and think that the little I do know about buddhist practices would help me to address my issues in a more positive way than pills. I am also fascinated by the idea of looking into your self for answers rather than placing the focus on an idol to worship. Can anyone reccomend a book or website at a very basic level in order to understand more?

I have found the folks that practice the New Kadamper Tradition to be surrounded by peace, calm and an exceptionally caring attitude. There are books and free classes readily available. Enjoy your curiosity.
