Can anyone recomend a nativity dvd suitable for a 3 yr old?

Doing my best to explain to DS what Christmas is really about. We have a book and a nice nativity play set - Mary is currently being ferried around in the back of PC Plods Noddy police van mind you (?!) - Sad but true, I feel he'd respong better to some moving images. Can anyone recomend a suitable DVD or video? I don't want anything too heavy for him just yet, but nor do I want him to think its all about donkeys - any ideas? I was hoping i might be even be able to show him something online.

I don't, but will be watching this thread as I'd love one for the dds - dd1 saw the video to The Power of Love' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood today and she totally loved it!

Avoid anything from The Beginners Bible range.

we have The Story Keepers on video which is not bad - explains the nativity story as Christians in the early Church looking back at what happened. My DS2 who is 3 really likes it.

Beginners Bible: The Story of the Nativity is also good (although I appreciate nearlythree said to avoid - it's like anything in life, some will like one thing whilst others like something different). Aimed at 5-7 year olds, but our now 4yr old enjoyed it last Christmas.

Have you thought of trying your local library to see what they have? They may have a few choices and you could decide for yourself.

Well I've ordered one of these - its got the chap from Tikkabilla in it - but I'm guessing it might be a bit donkey/ox centered.

I'll check out the other suggestions and I'll try the library tomorrow too - thanks for the tips! I'll let you know how they work out

I went off the Beginners Bible when I saw in their Easter one Jesus rose only to men - both sexist and inaccurate!
